A Happy Homecoming

After a very busy month of February we arrived home in Oklahoma on March 2nd. What a glorious day that was as all children (except Christopher who was on a European Skiing trip) and grandchildren were at the Oklahoma City Airport.

February was a very busy month which began with a tour of the Audi factory in Gyor, Hungary. What an amazing facility. No photos were allowed. We were amazed at the amount of engines and auto they can produce in a day. The robotic arms were our favorite.

Next, we took a train to Vienna, Austria for our last regional Welfare Self-reliance Services conference. What a beautiful city. We visited palaces, listened to a beautiful string symphony and said our last goodbyes to such good friends serving in Central Europe.

Next we moved into an Airbnb down the street as we prepared our apartment for Steve and Lu Duke to replace us as missionaries. We are so thankful that we did have replacements, many missionaries do not have couples to replace them. They are an awesome couple from Salt Lake City and will really move the Humanitarian Aid work forward in Hungary. We enjoyed some last views and bus rides of Hungary.

When Steve and Lu arrived, we kept them awake by visiting 7 NGO's in 1 week. They adjusted great as we visited a Roma Village pig and garden project, a Newborn care unit, and a K-5 for children with disabilities. We also introduced the Duke's to the Federation for the Blind, and the Hungary Red Cross. They are going to be very busy.

We said goodbye to many friends in Budapest. They will forever be in our heart. Especially Little Ezra and Linaya our nursery buddies.

We finished up our mission with the opportunity to show Bishop Waddell from The presiding Bishopric of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We shared with him our project for the physically disabled school in Budapest. He visited with the students and shared Christ's love. He felt the same as we did, that if the Savior came today, this was where he would visit. It was a beautiful day. We ended the day with a mission conference watching a pre-screening of the movie we were extras for. "Escape From Germany" will be available to watch in May or June. Look for us in the train depot scenes. We flew to Frankfurt Germany the next morning to visit our area office and the good friends we have made there. We all were able to attend the Temple together. What a blessing to be reminded that all our efforts were to bring other to Christ.

What a wonderful adventure. Words are hard to find to express our gratitude to have had this chance to serve this mission. Now we are off to new adventures in the land of our inheritance.

Thank you to all our friends an family for allowing us to share this journey with you. We love and appreciate all of you. May Gods blessings be upon us all!
