August reminded us all that summer was here. From home in Oklahoma we were able to watch and listen through technology as eight year old Annie was Baptized into The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Nicholas G Ayres received a baby blessing by their father Christopher. He had the love and support a big family of his own, and special guests including Sarah, David and Callie and the boys, Thomas and Makayla and Megan's parents, Doug and Carolyn Ensley Family It was a wonderful weekend and we enjoyed seeing them gather, the grandchildren playing together and of course great BBQ. Click on the photo and you will see the whole picture.

We keep ourselves busy by meeting with partners, serving in church in the nursery and enjoying the sights, and tastes of Hungary. From the local fresh market street stands we pick up melons, corn, and other fruits and vegetables as we walk home to enjoy them for dinner.

Peter Faulk is Hungarian, we found this statue near our home. The architecture here is just beautiful.

We partnered with Rotary clubs from Budapest and Moab Utah to support equipment and supplies for the refugee children from Ukraine. We celebrated a ribbon cutting to welcome the school year for 270 children. Next year they hope to have a school twice the size. Rotarians from all over the world contributed to this project.

On August 20th, Hungary celebrated St Stephens Day with fireworks, music and the national prayer. In the year 1000 St Stephen was crowned King as a young man. This was the beginning of Christianity being brought to the tribes of Hungary. They have faced many hardships. The celebration was beautiful with fireworks for miles along the Danube River.

We continue to work on our projects with a few more added to our list. We stay busy and are happy to welcome some cooler days for fall. We celebrated Melody's birthday with our Zone (our assigned group of 20 young missionaries and 7 senior missionaries.) We always feel so uplifted when we gather together. We send our love and prayers.
