We have moved into our housing. We are on a beautiful street with a park behind us, a beautiful view of the Parliament building out our back door. Right now flowers and gardens are blooming their last bloom, before fall. We are on the 5th floor, but here that is the 4th, ground floor is 0.

We are very comfortable here.

Clark is learning to navigate the streets of Budapest. The signs are a challenge still, but parking requires Formula 1 type skills. Melody has not braved it behind the wheel yet.

We attended our first District Meeting. We have 2 sets of Elders and 2 sets of Sisters. They are fun, and anxious to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We were able to participate in a service project helping a family who just moved into an older home that was overwhelming for them. At the end, we staged the room with the old furniture (that was left in the home) and when she entered, tears came to her eyes. It was a good day.

We spend part of our days on the computer, writing and searching for Humanitarian projects. The people of Hungary are a proud people who do not ask for much extra. We were given information for 2, maybe 3 projects that we are working on and learning the approval process. Next week we go out to meet 3 NGO's (non government agencies). They are the type of groups we work with to help supplement the good they are already doing. AND All work and no play gets us stir crazy, so our afternoons have been spent exploring the City.

Me in our Apartment office. Our visit to Castle Hill. The beautiful tiles roofs. Looking over the river to the Pest side from Fisherman's Bastion.

More Castle Hill. Beautiful old brick buildings. We noticed the US flag was flying over a Prime Ministers building, but we did not know who it was visiting that day.

More Castle Hill. You understand why there is such an advantage to building your castle on the hill.

.

Saturday we visited Margaret Island, it lies in the middle of the Danube river. It has fountains, walking paths, Japanese gardens.

Ruins of an old church from the 1900's. Jensens, Bohmen, Ayres, Margaret's Monastery on the island.

The center photo is a large circle. They call it the Covid circle. All the rocks that circle the path have names and a number of someone who passed away from Covid. It effected this country very hard because of the age, the culture, and the limited facilities and supplies at the Hospitals.

We have enjoyed all the food. The grocery stores are small and limited with what they carry. We have not found any type of York Peppermint Patties, (I am still looking) Crackers seem to be rare also, but a lot of bread. You bag and carry home what you purchase, so our shopping trips are small. We are grateful for the experience of being here. I am getting better at my hello's (Szia) and Good Day (Jo Napot) I am getting use to the different tasting M&M's, and of course the Belgium Chocolate is always worth a try.

We are anxious to meet with some NGO's this week, and get busy with some Humanitarian aid projects. We do love you all. We watch Facebook and the news once in awhile to keep up. It sounds like you are keeping busy. Our weather has turned cool, and they say we have beautiful fall colors here also. Every day we feel blessed. We love you all!
